This was a spontaneous witness given to the administration of the US government and addressed to Donald Trump specifically as I had been moved by watching him struggle to protect his flock from an impossible to identify or control threat. In so many ways all men are in the same boat, and he knows all too well that it will take far more than walls or guns or laws to protect what he loves the most.
